In Brief: SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward come aboard the Flying Dutchman's ship and become members of his crew.
Story: SpongeBob's in the kitchen eating Kelpo for Breakfast. While he's searching the cereal box for a prize a giant anchor comes crashing through the house. SpongeBob runs out of the house and yells to Squidward that the sky had a baby. Patrick comes over and says the same thing. Suddenly the anchor moves over and crashes into Squidward's house. Squidward decides to climb the anchor rope and give the owner of it a piece of his mind. SpongeBob and Patrick go with him. A little bit up the rope they see a huge, green, glowing pirate ship. SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward climb aboard.
Squidward rings the doorbell. The Flying Dutchman comes out and tries to scare them. SpongeBob tells him that Squidward has a complaint about his ship. The Dutchman says that insultin' a man's ship is worse than insultin' his mother. SpongeBob says it was his mother that SpongeBob insulted. This causes the Dutchman to fry Squidward. SpongeBob and Patrick get scared and jump off of the ship, but they land right back on it again. They try it again and the same thing happens. SpongeBob and Patrick promise not to do it again and Squidward is once again fried. The Flying Dutchman pulls out his Ghost Rule Book and reads that whoever steps foot on his ship, uninvited or otherwise will become members of his ghostly crew forever.
This makes Squidward very unhappy and he starts to complain. The Flying Dutchman picks him up and drops him into the fly of despair. He then instructs SpongeBob and Patrick to swab the deck to get ready for their night of scaring. The Flying Dutchman puts Patrick in charge of steering the boat and gives SpongeBob a telescope to find their first victim. At first it lands on a big, muscular guy but the Dutchman blows it and it lands on a little kid. Patrick pulls behind some rocks but scrapes the side of the boat. The Dutchman tells them to jump out when he gives the signal. They get confused about the signal and the second time they come out SpongeBob just does a trick with his fingers. The Dutchman tells them to get back on the ship. They try to scare several more citizens but SpongeBob and Patrick can't be scary.
Back on the ship SpongeBob and Patrick are waiting in the bunk room. At first they think the Dutchman is going to give them a reward but he comes in and tells them he's planning on eating them. SpongeBob and Patrick panic and go through the perfume department, which is the only way out. Once they get through they hear the Dutchman say that he can't eat without his dining sock. SpongeBob grabs the sock and runs. The Dutchman notices it's gone and tries to get it back from SpongeBob. He then decides to make a deal with them. He'll give SpongeBob and Patrick three wishes if they give the Dutchman back his sock. Patrick wastes a wish by wishing he had known about the wishes earlier. SpongeBob then wished that Squidward was there to see this. Squidward is shown still falling from the fly of despair. He lands in his bed and says he glad that's over. Suddenly, he ends up back on the ship again. There's only one wish left and all 3 argue over it. The Dutchman picks SpongeBob to choose the last wish. SpongeBob wishes that the Dutchman was a vegetarian. SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward turn into fruits and end up in the Dutchman's blender.

Quotes:
Flying Dutchman: Who be disturbin' the Flying Dutchman in his own lair?
SpongeBob: It's Squidward. He wants to complain to you. *The Flying Dutchman stares evily at Squidward*
Squidward: I....no, I don't.
SpongeBob: Well, what about all that stuff about him having a dirty ship and being lazy and all?
Squidward: I never said that.
Flying Dutchman: Insultin' a man's ship be worse than insultin' his mother!
SpongeBob: No, no, wait, it was his mother you said was dirty, not his ship. *The Flying Dutchman fries Squidward*
Kid: Those guys are dorks.
Flying Dutchman: Yes, but they're my dorks.
SpongeBob: Why do you think the Dutchman asked us to wait in our bunk room?
Patrick: Maybe he's gonna give us a reward!
SpongeBob: Like free movie passes?
Patrick: Or an oversized coffee mug!
Observations:
Confused SpongeBob gets the Flying Dutchman confused with the Red Baron.
Scraping While scraping the side of the boat against the rocks windows and wood are flying everywhere. When Patrick first does this all that stuff is already gone.
