In Brief: Mr. Krabs sells the Krusty Krab to new people who turn the restaurant into a family restaurant.
Story: A bunch of customers come to the Krusty Krab and Mr. Krabs suddenly bursts into song about how much he loves money. After that, Howard Blandy, president of the Blandy Franchising Company, visits the Krusty Krab, looking to buy it. Mr. Blandy is famous for selling out many restaurants in Bikini Bottom. Mr. Krabs doesn't want to sell the Krusty Krab until he sees all the money Howard is offering. He happily sells the restaurant and retires, making SpongeBob sad that he'll never see his boss again. Squidward and SpongeBob meet Carl, the new manager of Krabby O' Monday's.
Mr. Krabs gets bored of retirement after doing everything he wanted to do: visit the hook museum, paint fruit and golf. Pearl is sick of having him around the house. While walking around, Mr. Krabs discovers a Help Wanted sign at Krabby O' Monday's and goes in.
Meanwhile, at Krabby O' Mondays, a sports-themed family restaurant, Squidward is unhappy with his waiter job. Carl tells him he must smile or talk to Human Resources (a guy who will beat him up), so Squidward instantly shapes up. Krabs gets a job as a busboy and SpongeBob is thrilled to see him. Squidward wants help getting out of his happiness he must express and SpongeBob is devastated that patties are no longer made by him with love, but a machine. Mr. Krabs is outraged with the machinery and automated cash register. He informs everyone what's in the new patties and they flee. He goes mad and stuffs the automated cash register into the patty-making machine, causing it to clog and explode. The restaurant is flooded and destroyed, so the Blandy company doesn't want it. Krabs buys it back.
Song: "Cha-ching, Cha-ching"
Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-chingaree
Money, oh money, how I love thee
Cha-ching, cha-chong, cha-changaroo
From pennies to dollars, any amount will do
Cha-ching, cha-ching it's no contest
There's only one thing that I love the best
From every sight I've ever seen
The sweetest sound I've heard
I'd gladly give up everything for all the money that I've earned
Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-changaree
There's nothing on Earth like the feeling of green
There's nothing on Earth...like the feeling of green
Quotes:
Squidward: *after Krabs' song* Please don't do that again.
Mr. Krabs: I'm retiring!
SpongeBob: Retiring?
Mr. Krabs: I'm free to do whatever I want. I could learn how to ride that bicycle I got thirty years ago, or go to the new hook museum downtown, or even paint bowls of fruit!
Mr. Krabs: *playing golf on a course* Wait a minute! I hate golf!
Mother: Will you sing the Krabby Mondays birthday song to my special little man?
Squidward: *with no effort or song* Happy, Happy Birthday. *sigh* Happy, Happy Bir-
Mr. Krabs: You know, in that fit of maniacal rage, I may have destroyed the restaurant, scared away all our customers and forced us into bankruptcy because I returned nearly every penny I sold this stink heap for. But it was all worth it. And, I got back the love of my dear friends.
Squidward: *touched* Really, Mr. Krabs?
Mr. Krabs: No, not really. Get back to work!
Observations:
Baby Photos Mr. Krabs' photos show Krabs holding a baby Pearl in a blanket and him pushing a child Pearl on a bicycle with training wheels. (According to his song, he'd even trade Pearl for money.)
Phone Number Howard Blandy's phone number is (555) 123-7213.
Things in Pearl's Bedroom:
-A makeup table
-A rug with a heart on it
-A poster of a man that says "Hunk"
-Poster of some guys that says "Band"
-Pennant that says "Rah!"
-A picture of Pearl surfing Near a Beach? Krabby O' Monday's appears to be right next to a beach.
Dart Board A dart board on a pole has three darts sticking in it, one in the center.
The Patty-Making Process at Krabby O' Monday's: A pile of gray slop (Synthetic Patties) is squeezed onto a conveyor belt. A metal stomping device comes down and hits the slop, giving it a patty shape. The "patty" rides through fire that heats it. Robotic arms spray paint it to give it a patty color. It runs off into a delivery cart.
Basket Scored The fish playing basketball on TV scores his shot before Krabs drives a stool through it.
In the Mess Among the things floating out the door when the synthetic patty material floods the restaurant include a baby in a high chair, a wig, a football and a fried egg.
U-Pull Mr. Krabs' trailer holding all his money has the name U-Pull on it. This is a take on the company name U-Haul, which specializes in moving trucks.
Back to Frycooking When Mr. Krabs says, "Get back to work!", he hands SpongeBob a spatula to get back to cooking, despite the fact that the Krusty Krab is completely trashed.
