In Brief: SpongeBob tattles on the Tattle Tale Strangler.
Story: While SpongeBob is doing early morning litter patrol at the Krusty Krab he notices a guy throwing a lot of trash out of his boat. After SpongeBob confronts the guy the police show up to arrest him. While he's being hand-cuffed Squidward recognizes him and tells SpongeBob that he's the Tattle Tale Strangle. He promises to strangle anyone that turns him in. Strangler draws a picture of SpongeBob on the head rest of the seat of the police car and crushes it. While talking to the police Strangler escapes leaving his pile of hand-cuffs behind. SpongeBob is terrified and asks the police for protection, but they tell him they're not bodyguards.
SpongeBob runs and asks Mr. Krabs to be his bodyguard but after finding out who he needs protection from Mr. Krabs is too scared. Next, he asks Larry, a construction worker, and everybody at the Tough Tavern but they all run away. While SpongeBob is standing at the bus stop a guy sitting on the bench hears him mention he needs a bodyguard and offers his services. Unknown to SpongeBob he's really the Tattle Tale Strangler wearing a fake moustache. He gives SpongeBob his business card, which has "Tattle Tale Strangler" scratched out and replaced with "Bodyguard."
They decide to go to SpongeBob's house but he has a few errands to do first. First, they go shopping where SpongeBob buys paper towels. Next, they go to the dry cleaners and finally they buy some perfume.
When SpongeBob and Strangler finally arrive at SpongeBob's house he realizes he can't find his key. SpongeBob fumbles in his pockets for 20 minutes and they finally decide to clime in through the window. SpongeBob jumps up on Strangler's shoulders and his spikey cleats go right into his eye sockets. The Tattle Tale Strangle runs around for six hours before finally pulling SpongeBob's cleats out. SpongeBob gets the key from under the mat, which has been there the whole time and they go inside. As Strangler is about to strangle SpongeBob the lights come on and everybody yells, "Surprise." They're there to celebrate SpongeBob's perfect on-time percentage at work. After the party is over and everyone leaves the Strangler prepared to strangle SpongeBob again. Before he gets the chance everyone comes back for a second party to celebrate SpongeBob's birthday. After the birthday party, Strangler thinks everyone has left but Patrick's still there. He tells Patrick he has to leave and can't be trusted because he could be the strangler. Patrick panics and thinks he really is the strangler and runs to turn himself in. Everyone comes back for a third party. The Strangler is so fed up he runs out of the house and takes a taxi and a plane to try to get away from SpongeBob. He jumps out of the plane and lands right in the police station, in the same cell as Patrick.

Quotes:
Officer Nancy: Don't worry, SpongeBob. He won't be able to strangle you.
Cop: Yeah, we got him chained up real good. He'll never get away.
Officer Nancy: *Turns around and sees Strangler is gone* Oops. Not again.
Cop: Yep. He got away.
Tattle Tale Strangler: Alright. Enough with the sappy talk. Open the door so I can strangle you. . . I mean choke you. . . I mean crush your wind pipe.
Tattle Tale Strangler: Do you think you can hop up on my shoulders, kid?
SpongeBob: Sure. With these spikey cleats anything is possible.
Tattle Tale Strangler: Cleats! *SpongeBob jumps up on Strangler and his feet go into his eyes* Get your feet out of my eye sockets!
SpongeBob: I'm trying, but my cleats are stuck in your cornius.
SpongeBob: We can trust Patrick. He's my best friend.
Tattle Tale Strangler: I can't take any chances. For all we know he could be the strangler.
Patrick: I'm the strangler?! I should of known! I gotta turn myself in!
Observations:
Never on Time Squidward's on time percentage is only 12%.
Lobster Plate This isn't the only episode where Larry turns into a lobster on a plate. This also happens in "Party Pooper Pants."
Party Guests Guests at the party include Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, Mrs. Puff, Pearl, Larry and Scooter.
Coincidence SpongeBob's on time percentage party and birthday party are on the same day.
