In Brief: SpongeBob and Patrick get stranded out in the wild after stowing away in the back of Sandy's jeep.
Story: SpongeBob and Patrick are running and screaming towards Sandy's treedome. Something is chasing them. They run into Sandy's space suit. She takes them out and asks them what the problem is. Patrick tells her they're being chased by a savage best. Sandy is about to clobber it until she sees it's a little cricket with an air helmet on. She explains to SpongeBob and Patrick he's a land creature just like her. Sandy blows a bubble for him and puts him in it, sending him back to the surface. SpongeBob and Patrick are still upset and are crying and blubbering. Sandy tells them she doesn't have time for this because she's late for her survival training camp. They are interested in going with her but Sandy tells them this isn't an ordinary camping trip and they have to have skills which they don't have. She tells SpongeBob and Patrick they wouldn't last a single day. SpongeBob lets her know that Squidward commented on their survival skills (telling SpongeBob and Patrick they're harder to get rid of than cockroaches). They both beg to go but Sandy says no. She drives off in her jeep but isn't aware that SpongeBob and Patrick have stowed away and are hiding in the back.
Sandy goes over some very rough ground causing her jeep to violently shake. She drives on a mountain that is upside down and SpongeBob and Patrick scream. They fall from the jeep but drop right back in. Patrick opens the back door and they both fall out of the back, along with food, water and a tent. SpongeBob and Patrick scream for Sandy to come back but she keeps going. SpongeBob tells Patrick that he'll set up the tent while Patrick starts a campfire. Unfortunately, Patrick uses the box of food for fire wood. SpongeBob yells for Patrick to quickly put the fire out with something. He puts the tent on top of it catching that on fire as well. They then use their water supply to put out the fire, leaving them with nothing left. SpongeBob explains to Pat that they are going to have to use their razor-sharp quick wits if they are gonna make it out alive. Patrick says he wants to make the next decision because SpongeBob made the last one. He sits and sits and sits for many nights. It rains and thunders. Patrick is about to say something but he forgets what he was gonna say. He asks SpongeBob if he wants to go play hide-and-seek and they decide to go play in a nearby cave.
SpongeBob and Patrick enter the cave. SpongeBob likes it because it's roomy. Suddenly, they hear a strange voice. An old, scrawny man with a beard comes out of the shadows. He tells SpongeBob and Patrick this is their new home and that they'll be there for the rest of their lives, just like him. He starts laughing and Patrick joins him. SpongeBob asks the man how long he's been here and he says it's been 40 years and explains that there's no way out of the valley. SpongeBob starts to panic and say they are doomed but Patrick comments on the great shape the old man is in. SpongeBob asks where they are gonna sleep and what they are gonna eat. Patrick says he's got all the comforts of home right in the cave. And goes under a rock that looks just like his house. SpongeBob tries to do the same as Pat and builds a pineapple house out of sand. It's very small though. He sits on top of it and is poked by the sharp leaves. SpongeBob says he's comfy, safe and sound in his new home, but the old man explains to him he's never safe out in the wild. He warns SpongeBob to keep an eye on Patrick because he's a big fella and is gonna get hungry. It's eat or be eaten, he tells SpongeBob. Patrick chews on his own arm.
SpongeBob walks up to Patrick and his stomach growls. He tells SpongeBob he's so hungry he could eat a whole sponge. SpongeBob runs away screaming. He finishes by saying cake and holds up a spongecake with delicious cream filling. He was gonna share it with SpongeBob. SpongeBob asks the old cave man what to do because Patrick is gonna eat him. He suggests SpongeBob build a fort. He builds it and it looks like a replica of the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob climbs inside and starts to go a little crazy. He makes a Krabby Patty out of sand and stone and eats it but spits it right back out. SpongeBob busts out of the fort and says he needs some real food. He decides he must eat Patrick before Patrick eats him. He fries Patrick's hand on a frying pan while he's sleeping. He wakes up and tells SpongeBob that something smells good and asks what he's cooking. When Patrick finds out he's the one being cooked he decides he's gonna eat SpongeBob. Patrick makes a boil pot of water which SpongeBob thinks is a hot bath. Patrick chops up carrots into the boiling pot. SpongeBob realizes Patrick is trying to make soup out of him and he runs off. Patrick takes off after him but gets tired quickly. SpongeBob suggests for him to take a nap on the nice soft bed he set up (which is really a big piece of bread). He gives Patrick a blanket (another piece of bread with a toothpick in it). Patrick realizes it isn't a bed and runs away. He grabs the ketchup bottle and squirts SpongeBob with it. SpongeBob tries to grab the ketchup back and they start fighting over it and bite on each other. As they are fighting the old cave man starts clapping and congratulates them. SpongeBob and Patrick ask what they did. He explains to them they won their survivalist medals which really confuses them. The old man rips off the costume revealing he's really Sandy, who was testing SpongeBob and Patrick the whole time. She tells them it was no accident they fell out of her jeep. SpongeBob and Patrick tell her they are still hungry and chase after her with the bottle of ketchup. Sandy yells that next time she'll bring more granola.

Quotes:
Sandy: This ain't no ordinary camping trip. I go out into the wild armed only with my bare hands, my quick wits, this harpoon, and 65 pounds of dynamite. Out in the wild, it's eat or be eaten. You have to be willing to do anything when you're alone in the wild. You two wouldn't last a single day!
SpongeBob: Hey!
Patrick: Would so!
SpongeBob: We'll have you know that just the other day Squidward commented on our survival skills!
Squidward: You two are harder to get rid of than cockroaches!
SpongeBob: Thank you, Squidward!
Squidward: Grr! Grr! Agrr!! Grrr! *mutters while sticking pins in his SpongeBob and Patrick voodoo dolls* Why aren’t these things working!!?
SpongeBob: Sounds like you're hungry.
Patrick: Oh, boy am I! I'm ssoooooo hungry, I could eat anything! I could eat an entire sponge..
SpongeBob: AHHHHHHHHHH! *runs away screaming*
Patrick: Cake. I was just going to share my golden sponge cake with him. It has delicious cream filling too!

Food Supply If Patrick burned up the food supply, then how could they have carrots, ketchup, a giant slice of bread, a sponge cake, and boiling water?
