In Brief: Mr. Krabs centers the Krusty Krab around SpongeBob after an important food critic praises his work.
Story: At the Krusty Krab, Squidward is waiting on an overweight customer and takes his order. Squidward puts the ticket in the ordering window and all the orders from the window shoot out. Squidward goes into the kitchen to check on SpongeBob and he is completely stiff with a blank stare on his face. SpongeBob's hat falls off as Squidward touches his spatula and pokes his eye. Mr. Krabs enters the kitchen and notices SpongeBob. Squidward tells him SpongeBob's in some kind of self-induced trance but Mr. Krabs tells him it's something worse: the thousand-yard stare and says he had it once himself back in his service days. Mr. Krabs shakes SpongeBob and his tiny calendar falls to the floor. Mr. Krabs notices a date circled and he reads that an important food critic will be visiting the Krusty Krab. Squidward comments that only a complete moron would worry about what some critic has to say. He then notices both SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs are quivering.
A round, purple fish with an afro and glasses enters the Krusty Krab. He stares at Squidward. Mr. Krabs walks up to him and introduces himself. Gene Scallop walks away as Mr. Krabs is talking. Squidward asks him if he wants to order something or keep blocking his reading light. He turns around and starts to walk out. Mr. Krabs scolds Squidward for driving away Gene Scallop and tells him their lives depend on his review. Mr. Krabs walks over to Gene Scallop and tells him to sit down and try a delicious Krabby Patty. SpongeBob puts mustard on Mr. Scallop's patty and puts the bun on. He lifts his hat off his head, puts it back on and leaves. Gene Scallop takes a bite of the patty and leaves without saying a word. Mr. Krabs exclaimed that they are doomed.
Later, the news comes on. Mr. Krabs tells Squidward to turn it up. Gene Scallop gives a very negative report about the Krusty Krab (saying it smelled like the rear end of a goat) and it's employees (saying you can find livelier help in a graveyard). However, he said he had a meal that titillated his taste buds and gratified his gullet. He said if Krabs wanted to really soak up the dough he should really sponge up the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs' eyes turn into SpongeBob. He puts up a new sign that reads "The Krusty Sponge". SpongeBob asks Mr. Krabs what's up with the new sign and he informs him that he's just making a few cosmetic changes. Inside the Krusty Krab, Squidward is dressed in a SpongeBob outfit with a sign behind him that reads "As Seen on TV". SpongeBob asks Squidward where he got the shoes but he hisses at him. A little kid walks up to Squidward (SpongeBob) and asks him for an autograph. He says no because he has no use of his arms. He shakes them around accidently hitting the kid in the face. Mr. Krabs tells him he can have an autograph for 5 bucks, which causes him to walk away angrilly.
Mr. Krabs shows Squidward his new SpongeBob napkins and tells him to unpack the boxes of new condiments (based on SpongeBob). SpongeBob comes up to Mr. Krabs and is upset because his spatula is missing. Mr. Krabs shows him he's got the spatula and sticks it into Squidward's costume, telling him he's on grill duty. Mr. Krabs explains he's got something else lined up for SpongeBob. He outside being the engineer for a train that keeps going around the Krusty Krab. Meanwhile, Squidward is in the kitchen trying to figure out how to use the spatula without use of his arms. He hits it with one of the costume arms, knocks himself in the forehard and falls back into the pots and pans. Back outside, SpongeBob is getting tired of riding the train. SpongeBob tells Mr. Krabs he should be getting back to the grill but he wants SpongeBob to keep going.
Later, Squidward enters Mr. Krabs office while he's bathing in his money to tell him he's got a delivery. He signs for it and Squidward asks him what all the stuff is. Mr. Krabs informs him it's his new SpongeBob products: drinking straws, coasters, bibs and even ice cubes. While Squidward is in the kitchen Mr. Krabs brings him some new patties (actually, old yellow patties). Mr. Krabs calls them Spongey patties and he tells Squidward to use them instead of the other ones because there was no more room in the freezer. SpongeBob is still outside giving people rides on the train and he is absolutely exhausted. The customers start to get mad at SpongeBob because he's starting to go to sleep and even think he's just somebody in a SpongeBob costume. SpongeBob sneaks away and puts the SpongeBob statue Mr. Krabs had outside in his place. When he goes inside he notices all the customers are like zombies and are yellow and splotchy. He goes to Mr. Krabs door to tell him. SpongeBob tells him he's poisoned all these people. Mr. Krabs is handcuffed by a policeman who happened to be there and shows him his badge. In court, Mr. Krabs is found guilty by the jury (one of them being Gene Scallop). Mr. Krabs notices Judge Horace is using a SpongeBob gavel. He offers the judge free rides on the SpongeBob express (now being conducted by Squidward).

SpongeBob: Oh. You mean like when Squidward got that mole taken off his...
Mr. Krabs: Umm... yeah, a little like that.
Mr. Krabs: Look at these, Squidward! *holds up his new SpongeBob napkins*
Squidward: Looks like some horrific shroud.
Mr. Krabs: They're our new Krusty Sponge napkins! Extra absorbent.
Squidward: You really need to see a doctor.
Mr. Krabs: Oh, that reminds me, Squidward. I need you to unpack these boxes.
Squidward: What's in them?
Mr. Krabs: Condiments. We got "Tangy Spongy Sauce" and "Mild Bobby Sauce" for the not-so-daring.
