In Brief: Mr. Krabs takes Mrs. Puff on a date and spends $100,000. He puts SpongeBob in charge of his money to prevent crazy spending on future dates.
Story: At the Krusty Krab one day, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that nothing matters more than a penny - until he sees a cute woman eating a Krabby Patty - Mrs. Puff. Mr. Krabs is too nervous to go talk to her, so SpongeBob goes to introduce him to her. When doing so, Mr. Krabs acts very strange, and Mrs. Puff is confused. SpongeBob finds out by his odd acts that he wants to take Mrs. Puff on a date. She accepts. SpongeBob helps Mr. Krabs get ready for the date. Mrs. Puff and Krabs have dinner at the "Fancy" restaurant (which is a ship in a huge glass bottle). After dinner is done and Mrs. Puff gets escorted to her chariot, Mr. Krabs gets the bill: $100,000. At Mr. Krabs's house, he sobs over all he spent, as he couldn't help but spoil Mrs. Puff. To stop his spending, he puts SpongeBob in charge of his cash on dates to make sure a cent won't be spent. The next day, Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob arrive at Mrs. Puff's house for a money-free date: a walk in the park. Before she's ready, Mr. Krabs makes SpongeBob buy some flowers and chocolates for her. He gets angry because SpongeBob used money. When Mrs. Puff says she needs to get her hat before the three leave, Mr. Krabs sends SpongeBob to buy one, even though she has one. Mr. Krabs is angry money was spent once again. Then he apologizes to SpongeBob and promises to stop his "buy-and-blame" act. A few moments later, SpongeBob is out buying (and stealing) gifts again, making Krabs mad, though he told SpongeBob to. SpongeBob gets tired of Mr. Krabs's act and yells at him. He says Mrs. Puff needs the gifts and begins to sob. To cheer Mr. Krabs up, SpongeBob buys Mrs. Puff a washing machine, which actually makes him angry. SpongeBob curses at him and walks away mad. Mrs. Puff is shocked and tells Krabs she can't accept all the gifts, so she gives him his money back and a smooch.

Quotes:
SpongeBob: *at the Krusty Krab* Hi Mrs. Puff.
Mrs. Puff: *screaming crazily* Ahhh! Hit the brakes! SpongeBob! Watch that tree! *screams*
SpongeBob: *snaps fingers* Wait, Mrs. Puff! We're not driving.
Mrs. Puff: Oh, I'm sorry SpongeBob. I didn't expect to see you here.
SpongeBob: *to Mrs. Puff* Oh, I think Mr. Krabs is saying that he'd like to...hit you with a rake.
SpongeBob: *to Mr. Krabs* Good luck with You-Know-Who. *draws a dotted circle in the air with his fingers*
Mr. Krabs: Who's that?
SpongeBob: Mrs. Puff.
Mr. Krabs: Oh yeah.
Waiter: Your bill, sir.
Mr. Krabs: Huh? *looks at bill; shocked* What? One-hundred dollars?! Well, this can't possibly be correct!
Waiter: Oh, my mistake, sir, thank you for pointing that out. *hands him bill* This is your bill. *Krabs screams; we later learn the bill's $100,000*
Observations:
Episode Production This episode and Graveyard Shift were produced as season 2 episodes, but they didn't air until about halfway through season 3.
Dollar Sewing The dollar Mr. Krabs sews is a one-dollar-bill.
Number of Bandages Mr. Krabs "Renovated" the Krusty Krab With: Eight
Reappearance or First Appearance? The "Fancy!" restaurant was also seen in Chocolate With Nuts. This episode would mark the first appearance of this restaurant production-wise, but not airdate-wise.
Not at Work Though this episode deals with Mrs. Puff, we don't see her teaching at boating school.
Seconds This episode marks the second appearance of Mrs. Puff's house (the first being "No Free Rides") and is the second episode where SpongeBob says a bunch of curse words (the first was "Sailor Mouth").
Imitation Krabs To imitate Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob pops his eyeballs out of his head, crinkles his nose, talks with his accent, puts his shoulders near the top of his head, and bends his arms at the elbows.
