In Brief: Mr. Krabs and Plankton join forces when a new kelp shake business threatens their restuarants.

Story: At the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs anxiously counts his money and realizes profits are down. Frustrated, he walks out of his office and hears that a customer didn't order a drink because they brought a kelpshake with them. Squidward tells Mr. Krabs they haven't sold a single soda in days. SpongeBob is drinking the same kind of kelpshake the customer had. Mr. Krabs looks around and sees all his customers enjoying the kelpshakes. He announces to them that there will be no outside drinks aloud. All the customers get up and leave. Mr. Krabs goes outside and sees a new store shaped like a kelpshake. He is devastated to find out that even Pearl is drinking the new shakes. Mr. Krabs goes to talk to Plankton thinking he's behind this. To Mr. Krabs' surprise Plankton has nothing to do with the new store and doesn't even know about it. Plankton is just as angry about it as he is and doesn't want another restuarant to compete against either. The stores start to reproduce and two pop up right before their eyes. Mr. Krabs and Plankton look to find one on every single street corner. A kelpshake store falls on both of them. They realize they have to do something about this.

Later on, Mr. Krabs and Plankton go into one of the kelpshake stores. Mr. Krabs sees an 'Employee's Only' sign and tells Plankotn he thinks he's found the kitchen. He pretends to sneeze several times and splatters Plankton onto the window of the door. An employee sees Plankton splattered on the window and sprays a cleaner on him. Plankton screams and they both run out of the store and behind the Krusty Krab.

That night Mr. Krabs and Plankton sneak to the Kelpshake store. They are dressed in black clothes and ski masks. Plankton has a high-powered mechanical arm that he's gonna use to break into the restuarant. He presses a button and the mechanical arm starts slapping him around. Mr. Krabs pulls out a metal bar and tries to pry open the door but his back pops. He moans in pain and Plankton tells him to pipe down so he doesn't wake the guardworm. Suddenly, SpongeBob walks up appearing out of nowhere. He asks why Plankton is in Mr. Krabs' fist. They tell SpongeBob that they have gone into business together and they were hired to fix the door and roof. SpongeBob wishes them good luck and leaves. Later, Mr. Krabs and Plankton are seen on the roof jack-hammering. A speaker comes up from under the roof telling them that they have 3 seconds before spontanious combustion. Mr. Krabs runs leaving Plankton behind to get zapped.

The next day, a long line of people are waiting to buy kelpshakes. Plankton pops up through one of the tiles but unfortunately a customer comes along and steps on him. Mr. Krabs then lowers Plankton with a rope through a vent. He tries to take a drink of kelpshake but a customer takes a drink first and swallows him. Plankton prys open their mouth and Mr. Krabs pulls him back up. Finally, Mr. Krabs blows Plankton through a hose and out of a faucet. Kelp juice is poured on him and he goes down the drain. Plankton tells Mr. Krabs he's giving up because he's the only one taking all the heat. Mr. Krabs and Plankton start to argue back and forth. SpongeBob interups them suggesting that they just go buy a kelpshake. They go over and wait in the line. When it's Mr. Krabs' turn he nervously gives the cashier a dollar but doesn't want to let go of it. He finally does and leaves with the kelpshake. Plankton and Mr. Krabs head over to the Chum Bucket to see what ingredients the shake contains. Karen tells them it's main ingredient is Kelp juice. Mr. Krabs starts to drink the shake and Karen warns him not to because it contains another ingredient. Mr. Krabs and Plankton both ignore her and drink the whole thing. They walk outside where SpongeBob runs up to them covered in yellowish-green fur. He tells them they've shut down the Kelp factories and runs away screaming. They notice men in suits cleaning up hazardous materials. Mr. Krabs and Plankton both scream when they suddently get covered in the same kind of fur SpongeBob had. Plankton tells Mr. Krabs he's going back to what he's good at, stealing the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. Mr. Krabs gives him a ten second head start and starts to chase after Plankton.

Squidward: That's telling them.

SpongeBob: Uh, Mr. Krabs, I'm a little confused. Don't you and Plankton hate each other?

Mr. Krabs: Of course we do.

SpongeBob: Then why is he in your fist?

Mr. Krabs: Uh...we've gone into business together. You see, SpongeBob, we were here, uh...to fix this door.

Plankton: Now we have to fix the roof.

Mr. Krabs: That's right. That's right. We have to fix the roof. It's, it's, it's leaking. *crickets chirp*

SpongeBob: Well good luck with that. See ya.

Observations:

Guard worm The guard worm guarding the Kelp store looks similiar to the one guarding the dump in "The Lost Mattress".

Ingredient Analyzer The ingredient analyzer Plankton uses in "Plankton!" makes another appearance.
