In Brief: Squidward leads a band to play at the Bubble Bowl, but not without problems from the members.
Story: Squidward gets a phone call from his high school rival, Squilliam Fancyson. He tells Squidward he has a band and has to play at the Bubble Bowl, but he can't make it. His plan is to have Squidward's band cover for him, but then he's convinced that Squidward doesn't have one. Squidward tells him he does and that they will play at the Bubble Bowl. Now, he actually has to form one.
To get people to join his band, Squidward posts fliers around town. Many people notice them and meet at a building for practice. None of the people have had an experience. The practices doesn't go too well, with drum players trying to blow into their sticks, Sandy and Patrick getting into a fight, and even flag twirlers getting into a blimp accident.
On the last day of practice, the band that hasn't improved since day one plays so loud that the windows of the building shatter. A man blames Mr. Krabs on sounding bad, and everyone gets into a fight. Squidward feels very disappointed that his band would turn on him like this and walks off. SpongeBob feels bad for him and convinces the band to shape up and practice.
At the Bubble Bowl the next day, Squidward finds out that Squilliam came to see Squidward's band play bad. When the band members show up, Squidward thinks the band is still bad and is scared to see them. When the band performs, they do a tremendous job, with everyone playing and SpongeBob the lead singer. Squidward can't believe his band is so good. Squilliam faints at the sight and Squidward feels "sweet victory".

Squidward: *to band* Don't bother showing up tomorrow. I'll just tell them you all died in a marching accident.
Squidward: *walking off, crying* So thanks. Thanks for nothing!

Observations:
Letter Squidward's letter for recruiting band members is red and says "Read This" at the top. Also on the top is a picture of Squidward playing his clarinet. Another thing is that it doesn't say where the rehearsal is.

Practice begins tonight 8:30 sharp.
Bakery Food Cakes, pies and cupcakes can be seen in the bakery window Mrs. Puff reads Squidward's flier on.
Easy to See In the above view of the band downtown turning the corner of the street, Pearl's head is large and can be easily identified.
Happy to See a Fight As Mr. Krabs and the fish argue before they start the big fight on the last night of practice, Mrs. Puff stands by smiling as she watches them.
Ending Time The band ends practice at 10:00 PM on the fourth day.
Broken Glass The windows that the band shatters at the building from playing so loud remain broken for the rest of the scene.
Fake Arm When everyone freezes during the fight with the band members, SpongeBob is seen holding what is probably a fake arm and hand. It is a white skin color and the hand has four fingers.
Sky Colors On night four, the sky from the inside of the building's windows appears black. When Squidward stops everyone who is about to leave, the sky is dark blue.
Showboats The home team of the football stadium the Bubble Bowl is held at is the Showboats. The Memphis Showboats used to be a team in the United States Football League.
