In Brief: SpongeBob and Patrick discover an old submarine and decide to go sell Krabby Patties in it.
Story: SpongeBob and Patrick are talking on walkie talkies in Jellyfish Fields. SpongeBob is afraid a jellyfish is gonna sting him so he tries to get Patrick to help. SpongeBob and Patrick trip over something (and causing Patrick to get a huge rock stuck in his head.) They see something sticking out of the ground so they decide to dig it up. After it is unearthed SpongeBob says he thinks it's a UFO. Patrick climbs down the ladder to go into the craft followed by SpongeBob. They look for the lightswitch because it's so dark. He pulls away a skeleton and starts the submarine. They begin moving. Patrick tells SpongeBob that he better let him drive. They start fighting over the steering wheel causing the submarine to go crazy.
Meanwhile, at the Krusty Krab Mr. Krabs is wondering where all his customers are. As usual Squidward isn't listening to him. Finally, Squidward gives Mr. Krabs some advice, if he can't bring any customers to the Krusty Krab, he can bring the Krusty Krab to the customers. As they are talking the submarine comes crashing through the front of the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob and Patrick to take the Krusty Krab out on the road. He tells them to make him lots of money and they take off. Plankton is watching them through a telescope from the Chum Bucket. He is angry because he had the idea of a traveling restaurant years ago. Plankton says if Mr. Krabs is ready to play dirty than so is he. He turns the Chum Bucket into a flying vehicle. SpongeBob and Patrick approach a couple of customers but they aren't intersted. They offer to pay them instead. SpongeBob and Patrick give the man a pile of money and ride off.
Plankton thinks SpongeBob and Patrick might be better salesman than he expected. He approaches a little boy and asks him if he's interested in a chum burger. He asks Plankton if they come in raspberry, blueberry (or raspberry, again). Plankton yells at the boy and tells him not to waste his time. The kid's mother, father, and grandmother take up for each other but Plankton insults them all. The angry family and customers start to throw rocks at Plankton. Back in the submarine, SpongeBob reminds Patrick that he should be on kitchen duty. In the kitchen all the patties have burnt on the grill and turned hard as rocks. The angry mob has ran out of rocks to throw at Plankton. SpongeBob offers them his burnt patties as a substitute. They are thrilled and buy them, continuing to hit Plankton. SpongeBob tells Patrick Mr. Krabs is gonna be so proud of them.
SpongeBob asks Patrick if he sees any customers approaching. He says no but he sees a sign that he can't quite make out. SpongeBob tells him it says "Abyss." They start falling into a bottomless pit and a siren goes off. They land on something which turns out to be the head of a sea monster. SpongeBob asks the monster if he's hungry. He says he is because he hasn't eaten in 79 years and asks for 640 krabby patties. The Sea Monster gives SpongeBob and Patrick a huge wad of cash. Plankton is watching. He thinks SpongeBob and Patrick are out of the picture until he sees the sea monster eating their patties. Plankton drops bombs and blows several holes in the submarine. As he dances around and celebrates his Chum Bucket hand crashes into the wall and disinigrates.
The monster demands more food but SpongeBob is out of krabby patties. A piece of chum comes through the holes that Plankton blew in the sub and lands on a bun. The monster tries it and likes it even more than the krabby patties. SpongeBob and Patrick scrape chum off the walls and make the sea monster more Chumwiches until he is full. SpongeBob asks him if there's anything else he wants before him and Patrick shove off. The monster demands dessert. SpongeBob explains they don't have dessert. Plankton falls down and rolls in some mud and gets covered in dirt. The sea monster thinks he's a chocolate eclair and chases after him. Back at the Krusty Krab a janitor repairs the window that SpongeBob and Patrick crashed through. They crash through it again. Mr. Krabs asks SpongeBob to tell him about all the money they earned. He tells Mr. Krabs that they were at the bottom of a deep, dark abyss and had to let go of something heavy and paper (the money), but SpongeBob says there is a bright side. He opens the sub to reveal 37,000 pounds of decorative deep sea rocks.

Plankton: I think it's time for you to lose some weight, fatty!
Grandma: You can't talk about my grandson like that. Someone oughta put you in a mental hospital.
Plankton: Someone should put you in a box floating down the river, Grandma!
Grandma: You're probably right.

Title Spoof This title is a spoof of Jules Verne's classic novel, "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea."
Old Footage In the beginning there's footage from "Jellyfishing."
Second Appearance This is the second appearance of Jack M. Crazyfish. His first appearance was in "The Blackened Sponge.
Fimiliar But Different The con artist from "Chocolate With Nuts" is SpongeBob and Patrick's first customer. He is green in this episode instead of purple though.
